Patricia English Garner, the iconic actress’s mother, recalls the past and the time her parents acquired the land which has forever remained in their hearts. It was purchased back in 1936 with a bonus her father earned from his dedicated service during World War I.
Patricia recalls the challenges and hardships during the early periods. They didn’t even have water and indoor plumbing. Gradually, the family moved away and the farm has changed many hands since then.
