Noa, who was married to Lopez in the late ’90s, shared his thoughts on their brief marriage and Affleck’s relationship with her.

Lopez, famous for hits like “If You Had My Love,” filed for divorce from Affleck just two years after their wedding. It wasn’t the first time the couple had called off an engagement—they had been engaged in the early 2000s but never made it down the aisle back then. By that time, Lopez had already been through a marriage, having wed Ojani Noa, a waiter, in 1997. That relationship lasted only a year.

“I was the first man in her life when her career was just taking off. I supported her through her fears and insecurities, and I was there through it all. I truly believed in our marriage, and when we split, it left me devastated. It felt like once she got what she wanted, I wasn’t needed anymore,” Noa shared.

He also noted that he put significant effort into their relationship. Now working as a personal trainer and producer, Noa, 49, has remained unmarried since their divorce but continues to speak kindly about Lopez.

“She was the most beautiful woman I had ever laid eyes on. Her body was incredible then, and it still is,” he added.

Noa acknowledged the media frenzy surrounding Affleck in 2022, when paparazzi constantly trailed the actor. He believes the relentless attention had taken its toll on Affleck, who often appeared withdrawn in public photos.

“I’ve met Ben, and he’s a really nice guy. Even though he and Jennifer are constantly in the public eye, it’s clear he’s more private,” Noa said.

He also commented on Lopez’s love for the spotlight, while wishing her well and urging her to take some time for herself. Noa clarified that he has no desire to rekindle their romance, though he harbors no ill will toward her or Affleck.

“I have no hard feelings toward either of them. Divorce is tough, and I feel for them both,” Noa told the Daily Mail.

Reflecting on honeymoon photos of Lopez and Affleck, Noa observed that while Affleck appeared to be enjoying his time with Lopez, he seemed uncomfortable with the constant photography. “It’s like he wanted to be with her, but didn’t want to be photographed. I get that. Weddings are public, but honeymoons should be private. It felt like Jennifer wanted to show off their honeymoon to everyone.”

Noa also noted parallels between Lopez’s relationship with Affleck and his own experience with her. After watching Lopez’s Netflix documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told, which focuses on her romance with Affleck, Noa saw similarities to his past marriage with her. He recalled how Lopez looked naturally beautiful without makeup and dressed casually at home, a side of her he admired.

He even weighed in on a viral clip where Affleck slammed a car door as Lopez got in, remarking that the actor looked like he “wanted to tear someone’s head off” and likely didn’t want to pretend everything was perfect in their marriage, much like his own feelings during his marriage to Lopez.

While Lopez’s friends have reportedly criticized Affleck for being difficult and moody in recent weeks, Noa has chosen to take a more understanding stance, offering support to both the singer and her ex-husband.
