When the driver saw the crying moose, he intervened and saved him.
Thanks to the actions of a caring motorist in Alaska, a vulnerable calf was reunited with his mother. When he saw a sobbing young moose trying to cross the highway guardrail on his way home, he intervened and saved the day. Other drivers captured this beautiful scene on camera!
Andrea Bock was driving on the roadway near Clam Gulch in Alaska when traffic came to a halt. She watched the script and even recorded it on her iPhone.
As the two tried to cross the road, the little calf was trapped. The exhausted calf was unable to cross the highway barrier and was separated from its mother.
“The calf came close to the edge of the fence, but the mother always pulled him back to the middle, away from the edge,” the DODO woman said. “I believe the mother kept bringing it back because it was a precinct where there were no cars”, says the narrator.
It’s been about half an hour since the poor animal struggled to get through and things weren’t going well until one of the drivers decided to take matters into his own hands!
Joe Tate and his buddies were returning from a fishing trip and at first they didn’t know what had caused the traffic jam, but they soon discovered it.
It was then that they decided to help, but everyone understood that they needed to go with caution, since a distraught moose, like a mother moose, can be very deadly, especially if someone approaches her baby.
