He was known not only for his iconic music and unforgettable voice but also for his love of luxury which was reflected in his collection of private jets. One of the most memorable was a Lockheed Jetstar that remained with him for over 35 years before being abandoned following his passing in 1977. Step inside this vintage aircraft and you are transported back in time!

The interior features elegant wood paneling, deep red velvet chairs, and lush carpeting. The cabin is designed as one large, open space with comfortable seating for guests, along with a compact kitchen area. There’s even an old-school TV and a vintage microwave—though it likely hasn’t worked in decades. One can easily picture the star getting up from his seat to fix his signature sandwich: peanut butter, mayonnaise, crispy bacon, and banana—perhaps even warming it up in that very microwave.

He originally shared the plane with his father. After his passing, the jet sat unused for over 30 years by the roadside in New Mexico. Despite the faded red paint on the exterior, it remains remarkably well-preserved. This Jetstar held a special place among his fleet too.

Now, after decades in limbo, a new owner arrives. A dedicated fan of him purchased the aircraft for $260,000 during a Florida auction—securing a unique piece of rock ’n’ roll history.
