Zendaya has once again captured the attention of her fans, this time fueling speculation about her relationship with Tom Holland following the 2025 Golden Globe Awards.
At the star-studded event on January 5, Zendaya dazzled on the red carpet in a custom Louis Vuitton gown, but it wasn’t just her stunning ring that had fans talking. Observant onlookers noticed a petite tattoo on the left of her body, sparking a flurry of online theories. Many fans were quick to assume that the tattoo, which seemed to resemble the letter “T,” was a tribute to her partner of many years, Tom Holland.
One social media user shared their excitement, saying, “Not sure what I expected at the Golden Globes, but Zendaya’s ‘t’ tattoo and engagement ring weren’t on the list!… I’m so happy for her.” Other followers agreed, noting that the ink indeed looked like a lowercase “T.”
However, not all fans saw the mark the same way. Some pointed out that the tattoo could also resemble an anchor, leading to further speculation about its true meaning. One user even shared an anchor emoji and questioned whether it symbolized something else entirely.
Us Weekly reached out to Zendaya’s team for clarification on the matter, but has yet to receive a response regarding the tattoo or any engagement rumors.
The star, who began dating Holland after meeting on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016, attended the ceremony alone. Zendaya was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor.
Zendaya started the evening wearing an elegant Louis Vuitton gown paired with Bulgari jewelry, but later changed into a chic white halter-neck dress. Interestingly, the tattoo was no longer visible in a photo taken later at the event with Ayo Edebiri from The Bear.
The couple, who kept their relationship under wraps for several years, officially went public in 2021 after pictures surfaced of them displaying affection in a car. At the time, a source told Us Weekly that their strong friendship helped deepen their bond.
Zendaya and Holland have shared heartwarming moments of their romance over the years. In a February 2024 interview, Zendaya sweetly praised Holland’s charisma when asked who had the best “rizz” (charisma) from the Dune cast. “When it comes to charisma, Tom Holland stands out for me, even though he’s not in Dune,” she said.
Although Zendaya once expressed her love for tattoos in a 2020 interview with Allure, she stated, “I love tattoos… but I don’t want any.” Meanwhile, Holland is known to sport a small spider tattoo on his foot as a nod to his iconic role as Spider-Man.
