A touching story: this couple adopts a sick dog so that the animal can live out the last years of its life in love

This kind couple has given a dog with an incurable disease a last home.

A retired couple living in Todmorden, England, gave a terminally ill dog a last home. His mission? May he spend the rest of his life in peace and love.

Helen, 64, and John Brierley welcomed 10-year-old Sugar to give him a chance to live out his final months in peace.

A boxing cross mastiff who had been in a shelter for 6 weeks was the victim of an inoperable cancerous tumor that developed on one of his similar glands, according to Teamdogs.

So that he would not live his last moments in a hut, the pensioners decided to adopt him.

But fate decreed otherwise. The couple could not resist Sugar, whose condition scared away potential adopters.

So Sugar joined Helen, John and their two guinea pigs. His new owners pamper him every day and provide him with the necessary palliative care.

These steps do not faze his adoptive parents, who consider him a wonderful companion. Sugar is calm on walks and friendly with other dogs.
