You will get surprised to know that his parents used to call him «a dumb dog» who was lazy and couldn’t study properly. The whole thing is that he had undiagnosed dyslexia. However, this didn’t stop him from pursuing proper education and his life goals.
He first showcased his talent during an improvised Shakespearean monologue which marked his first success. Even during her role of Fonzie, the traces of dyslexia still affected him.
Winkler considers dyslexia «a silent battle» which has taken its toll on the quality of his life. He had difficulties with memorizing and reading which also couldn’t go unnoticed on the set. Henry couldn’t memorize the script properly.
