Not all people take the time to get to know homeless people and understand why they ended up on the street. However, one man named Elvis from Los Angeles met a homeless woman who was sleeping on the street and decided to help her.
A woman named Irene lost her home and husband 10 years ago and ended up on the street.
The 60-year-old woman spent the entire day outside, sleeping on the ground, and had difficulty buying food for herself. One day a kind man met her and learned her story.
«This kind woman, a 60-year-old mother and grandmother, was sleeping on the street in the dirt․ It’s just wrong», Elvis said.
They became friends, and Elvis decided to build a house for Irene so that she could live in peace. So the man bought $500 worth of wood and used his own construction skills to get a good result․
He decided to build such small, safe and reliable houses for the homeless people of Los Angeles. Finally, Irene finally has a roof over her head.
«I slept so relaxed that it seemed to me that I slept for half a day», said Irene after the first day in the new house․
