Ahead of the release, the cast gathered in Birmingham on March 2 for the film’s glamorous premiere. The location wasn’t chosen by accident. Birmingham is not only deeply tied to the story’s origins, but the events of the new film also unfold there during the turbulent years of World War II.
As expected, 49-year-old Murphy quickly became the center of attention.
The actor arrived dressed in a look that subtly echoed the sharp, vintage style of his character — though he skipped one famous accessory: the iconic flat cap associated with Tommy Shelby.
Murphy stepped onto the red carpet wearing a double-breasted tweed coat in a warm coffee shade, decorated with a rare striped pattern. Underneath, he layered a brown suit with a jacket featuring slightly raw, unfinished edges, paired with a brown shirt worn open at the collar without a tie.
