Seeing 2 dogs fallen into a canal a policeman jumped into the water to save them.
He didn’t hesitate for a second. Seeing two dogs in the canal and unable to get ashore, the former policeman jumped into the water to save them from drowning. The local community called him and his neighbor, who did the same, heroes.
Pablo Arzola is not afraid to get wet, literally and figuratively. A former member of the United States Marine Corps, he also served with the Miami Police. Therefore, when he noticed that 2 dogs had fallen into the canal near his house and needed help, he immediately rushed to their aid.
The rescue took place on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, according to WSVN 7News. On the same day, at about 5:30 pm, Pablo Arzola heard screams and calls for help.
He went out of the house to see what was going on and found several people waving their hands on the bank of a canal running through Miami-Dade County, Florida. They called for help from two Siberian Huskies who were in the creek.
The former soldier and police officer quickly assessed the situation. He came to the conclusion that the only thing that could be done was to dive. He did so, and his neighbor immediately followed him. The two men were able to bring the dogs back to shore, where other residents helped their four-legged friends return to land.
It’s not the first time he’s put himself in danger to save a dog.
It looked like an alligator was walking nearby. Pablo Arzola did not think about the danger at all. All that mattered to him was saving the dogs, he loves them and has 3 huskies himself.
This is not the first time Pablo Arzola has rescued a dog. A few months ago, he managed to pull a Doberman out of a burning house.
