Ariana Grande has clarified rumors swirling about a potential 2025 tour, and the news might not be what fans were hoping for. On December 15, a fan account, Grande Tour News, shared a screenshot of 15 upcoming Ticketmaster events tied to Grande’s name, sparking excitement and theories about an upcoming announcement. However, by December 17, both Grande’s label, Republic Records, and the singer herself had dismissed the speculation.
Grande, speaking at the Golden Globes First-Time Nominees luncheon, explained her current priorities. “I feel incredibly thankful for my journey into acting,” she said. “Music and performing on stage will always be a core part of who I am, but right now, I’m focused on exploring other creative paths. Acting feels like home to me at the moment.” She expressed gratitude for her fans’ patience, saying, “Thank you for understanding. I’ll always carry music with me, but for now, let’s just say my next concert might be in my mom’s living room.”
Republic Records also weighed in on the rumors after the Ticketmaster events raised eyebrows. A post on X (formerly Twitter) by Grande Tour News claimed, “Ticketmaster is currently listing 15 future events under Ariana Grande, up from none previously.” In response, the label stated, “There are no tour plans for next year. Ariana is immensely grateful for her fans and their continued support, but there’s nothing in the works at this time.”
Earlier this year, Grande had hinted at the possibility of live performances during her break from filming Wicked: Part 1 and Part 2. Appearing on the Shut Up Evan podcast in July, she floated the idea of a “mini” tour. “I think it’d be wonderful to sprinkle in a few shows between the two films,” she shared. “It wouldn’t be anything like my past tours—just a smaller series of performances. It’s an idea my team and I have explored.”
Despite those earlier musings, it seems Grande ultimately decided against such plans. The pop sensation, who has been pouring her energy into her acting career, has expressed a growing interest in Broadway and other artistic avenues. Speaking on the Las Culturistas podcast in November, Grande shared, “This might terrify my fans, but I’m dreaming of new things. Broadway is one of those dreams. Don’t worry, though—I’ll always make music and perform. I just don’t see myself keeping up the pace of the last decade for the next ten years.”
For now, fans can look forward to seeing Grande shine in Wicked and potentially explore new dimensions of her artistry in the years ahead. While a tour isn’t on the horizon, her dedication to creative growth promises exciting surprises down the line.
