Catherine Zeta-Jones celebrated a major milestone with her husband, Michael Douglas, by posting a series of never-before-seen wedding photos in honor of their 25 years of marriage. The 56-year-old actress shared the intimate snapshots on her social media pages.
One of the first images shows the couple on the very day they met. “The moment our eyes crossed for the first time,” she captioned it.

Zeta-Jones then revealed several photographs from their lavish 2000 wedding, held at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. In the pictures, she appears alongside Douglas, their three-month-old son Dylan, and their parents.

In her post, the actress reflected on what she experienced walking down the aisle. “A quarter of a century ago, I made my way toward you. I remember the scent of the flowers, the glow of the candles, the stunning Welsh choir echoing through the hall — and you waiting for me with that look only you have. My love for you is as strong today as it was then. Thank you, my darling,” she wrote.

Along with the vintage photographs, she also included a few recent snapshots from their travels and red-carpet events.
Zeta-Jones and Douglas, now 81, have been together since 1998. Their first child, Dylan, was born just before their wedding in 2000, and their daughter, Carys, arrived three years later.

The couple’s relationship has not been without difficulties. In both 2011 and 2013, Zeta-Jones underwent treatment for bipolar disorder. The illness and resulting depression strained the marriage so severely that Douglas reportedly considered filing for divorce in 2013, unable to cope with the emotional toll. After several challenging months, the couple managed to reconcile.

Douglas also has an older son, Cameron, from his previous marriage to Diandra Luker. Cameron was sentenced in 2010 to five years in prison for drug-related charges and recently welcomed his second child.
