Céline Dion’s twin sons have changed dramatically since the days when fans knew them as two little boys. Nelson and Eddy Angélil recently stepped out with their famous mother in Paris, and at 15 years old, the brothers now look remarkably grown up.
The teenagers, who will turn 16 in October, appeared noticeably more mature than in the family photos many people remember. Both were seen wearing glasses, while one of the twins has even begun growing facial hair — another reminder of just how quickly the years have passed.
Their appearance in the French capital comes at an especially important moment for Céline. The singer is preparing for a major return to live performances after spending years dealing with stiff-person syndrome, a condition that forced her to dramatically reduce her public and professional activities.

Nelson and Eddy were born in Florida on October 23, 2010. Céline welcomed the twins with her husband, René Angélil, following a difficult journey that included six IVF attempts and a miscarriage.
Their names were chosen with personal meaning. Eddy was named in tribute to Eddy Marnay, the producer and songwriter who played an important role during the beginning of Céline’s career. Nelson’s name honored Nelson Mandela, whom the singer greatly admired.

The twins are the youngest members of Céline and René’s family. Their eldest son, René-Charles, is now 25 and has followed his family into music. Nelson and Eddy were just five years old when their father died from throat cancer in 2016.

As they grew older, the brothers would face another challenging chapter alongside their mother. Céline revealed her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis in 2022, and the condition required her family to learn how to react during potentially serious episodes.
Working with Céline’s physical therapist, Nelson and Eddy were taught what to do if their mother suddenly needed help. Céline has explained that panic buttons were installed around their home and that her sons learned how to carefully position her on her side when necessary.

For the singer, being open with the twins about her condition was important. They were old enough to notice when something was wrong, and she wanted them to understand what was happening rather than be frightened or confused by it.
During the years when performing became extremely difficult, Céline drew enormous motivation from her children. Despite a career that has made her one of the world’s most recognizable singers, she has consistently described motherhood as the most meaningful role in her life.
Now, however, the Dion family’s time in Paris is connected to a far more uplifting chapter. Céline is preparing to return to the concert stage at Paris La Défense Arena, with additional performances reportedly being scheduled amid significant audience interest.

She already gave the world a glimpse of her return during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Her emotional performance proved that her famous voice could still command a huge stage, but a run of full-length concerts will present a much greater physical challenge.
Preparing for that demanding schedule has reportedly involved an intensive fitness routine. Céline has been doing 90-minute Pilates workouts three times per week in addition to attending two ballet sessions each week.

Speaking about returning to live performances, Céline has expressed a mixture of confidence, excitement and understandable nerves. After everything she has experienced, walking onto a concert stage again represents far more than simply another professional milestone.
And as that moment approaches, Nelson and Eddy are right there beside her. Once the small boys seen in family photographs, the twins are now teenagers standing nearly grown beside their mother as she prepares for one of the most significant comebacks of her extraordinary career.
