Charlize Theron Makes Rare Red-Carpet Appearance With Daughters Jackson and August

Charlize Theron made The Odyssey’s New York City premiere a memorable family night, stepping onto the red carpet alongside her daughters, Jackson, 14, and August, 12.

Theron typically keeps her daughters away from the cameras, so seeing them join her at the glamorous premiere of Christopher Nolan’s much-anticipated Greek epic was an unusual moment. Despite the celebration taking place on a school night, Jackson and August were allowed to make a rare exception for the special outing.

Jackson and August appeared comfortable alongside their famous mother as photographers captured the trio navigating the crowded premiere. At one point, Theron was seen gently guiding August with a protective hand around her waist while Jackson remained close behind.

Theron has long maintained a relatively private family life and generally keeps her daughters away from major public events. Their latest outing therefore offered fans an unusual glimpse of the close relationship the actress shares with her children.

For the occasion, August wore a black dress teamed with knee-high socks and chunky boots, giving the classic outfit a youthful edge. Jackson also chose black, stepping out in an elegant off-the-shoulder ensemble paired with wedge heels.

Theron stood out in an elegant all-white ensemble, choosing a chic mini dress accented with dramatic oversized bows. She finished the polished look with delicate strappy heels, a gleaming gold choker and vibrant red lipstick.

The glamorous evening offered a rare family moment from Theron, who has consistently made protecting her children’s privacy a priority while raising them largely away from Hollywood’s constant attention.

In 2019, Theron publicly spoke about Jackson being transgender, explaining that her daughter had told her when she was three years old that she was not a boy. The actress has emphasized her role as a parent in supporting her children as they grow into themselves.
