The dog became attached to the cat, a truly friendly relationship arose.
The drama is set in Seminole, Florida. Sherry Lewis and her son Peter were witnesses.
And the fact is that their family had two fluffy residents: the cat Kitty, who was “looked after” by Sherry, and the rather large four-legged pit bull Jack, Peter’s closest friend.
And, as often happens when living together, the dog quickly became attached to the cat.
Sherry says that one evening she heard a dog barking loudly. Jack was not “on duty” at all, but angry, aggressive. Mrs. Lewis ran out of the house and saw a terrible sight. The coyotes followed Kitty. But Jack hastened to protect his friend.
The predators were frightened by the fiercely attacking dog, abandoned their prey and ran away. The condition of the injured cat caused concern. But the owners asked for veterinary help in time, and the kitten quickly got to his feet.
Jack would certainly not allow such an attack again.
