The famous show âSex and the Cityâ follows the lives of four friends in their 30s who are searching for love but also have fun while doing it. The show run for six seasons and had two movies.
The show said goodbye to its beloved characters until 2021 when it was announced that a new program will follow the show. The new series was called âAnd just like thatâ which has a season and 10 episodes. However, in the new series, Samantha Jonesâ character was missing from the first season.
As per an exclusive story in 2023, she will be returning for the second season of the show.
Back in 2021, a video was released in which you could see the fifth character of the series, New York City, and hear Sarah Jessica Parkerâs voice.
As it was revealed that she wonât be returning to the show, there were rumors that they will terminate the role. However, an official from HBO Casey Bloys, while speaking in an interview with TVLine, revealed that the role wouldnât be recast.
He also revealed that they wanted to portray women in their 50s living in New York and tell the story of how your friends in your 30s wonât be part of your life when you are 50.
Cattrallâs character wasnât the main but she was really loved by the audience. She and Parker had a conflict on the set while filming the program.
Sarah Jessica revealed that the producers of the show were not “comfortable” with where Cattrall was pushing for approval of the “Sex and the City” comeback, which ultimately resulted in the show’s cancellation.
The conflict was disclosed in a report by Vanity Fair, according to which Cattrall revealed that she was never friends with her costars and also accused Parker of abusing the loss of her brother in 2018.
As per Variety, she will reprise her role while appearing in one of the sequences of the show.
In the show, her character is relocated to London.
