A group of tourists visiting the Mala Mala Nature Reserve in South Africa spotted a lion from the Kambul pride who was watching someone intently.
At first, people thought that the lion’s attention was attracted by a scorpion in the sand, but then it turned out that the crab was the object of observation.
As the lion approached, it raised its claws menacingly and calmly continued its way.
After some time, other members of the pride became interested in the warlike guest. Five lions, young and old, surrounded the crab and even sniffed it, bowing their muzzles to the arthropod, but no one dared to grab it.
As a result, the animal managed to safely reach its hole and escape safely.
The heroes of the video are young predators about a meter tall and weighing up to 125 kg.
If desired, they could make a swift dash and bite through the shell of crayfish, but they clearly decided that such a game was not worth the candle.
