George and Amal Clooney Turn Heads With Elegant Entrance at Venice Film Festival

George and Amal Clooney have officially arrived in Venice. The couple were among the first high-profile guests to reach the Lido ahead of the opening of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, making their entrance by water taxi.

Photographers captured the couple as they arrived in Italy, with Amal immediately attracting attention in a sophisticated dark-green ensemble.

Amal wore a matching look consisting of a tailored jacket and a playsuit featuring micro shorts. She completed the outfit with high heels, bringing an elegant edge to the daring arrival look.

George, meanwhile, chose a noticeably more laid-back look, wearing crisp white trousers with a black polo shirt as he arrived alongside his wife.

This year’s festival will be particularly significant for the Hollywood actor. George is set to receive an honorary Golden Lion recognizing his contribution to cinema. The same prestigious honor will also be presented to 93-year-old actress Ellen Burstyn.

The festival will officially open with Ink, a drama directed by Danny Boyle.

For George and Amal, however, the festivities began before the first screenings even got underway. Their glamorous water-taxi arrival provided one of the festival’s first major celebrity moments — with Amal’s dark-green micro-shorts ensemble quickly stealing the spotlight.
