Kitten found homeless had no chance of finding a home but everything changed.
The kitten was not the most suitable for adoption at Jelly’s Place in San Pablo, California.
When visitors passed by or approached the cage with the kitten, she hissed and huddled into the corner with her whole body.
The kitten, which was found homeless, had no chance of finding a home.
Kendal Benken, an experienced wild kitten charmer at the shelter, was contacted.
“They said, ‘You have to come here and look at this strange animal,’” Benken told The Dodo.
Benken perfected the ability to tame even the wildest kittens. Her rescue dogs and cats are able to calm even the most frightened animals.
She rushed to the shelter to check on the cats.
After a few minutes, Benken concluded that the 5-week-old Siamese was not threatening, but rather scared.
“No one could get close to her”. Benken explained, “She was outraged”. “She was a little demon”, the narrator continues. It was a fight or flight reaction.
Chances are they’ve never met her before. She had an aggressive nature.
She hissed and hissed. “However, she was beautiful”.
Wrapping the unfortunate kitty in a towel and gently cradling her was the only way to pass her on. Benken swaddled the cat carefully, put her in a container and took her home.
The kitten did not like this arrangement, and when she came to Benken, she was still grumpy. Benken named her Betty because she was sure she would win.
