“He gave her 500 roses after chemo — then she did the unthinkable.” 💐 What started as a surprise turned into something far bigger… and far more emotional. See the act of love and strength that moved an entire hospital in the article below 👇
This isn’t just a love story. It’s a story of strength, compassion, and the power of community. It’s about Alice, a woman who fought a tough battle with cancer and inspired those around her in the process.
Since December 2015, Alice had been going through intense chemotherapy treatments. Along the way, she endured three major surgeries. Now, after all those exhausting months, she was finally attending her last chemo session—a moment she and her husband Brad had been dreaming of for a long time.
Brad knew he couldn’t let this milestone pass like any other day. He wanted to do something unforgettable to celebrate his wife’s courage and resilience. So, he secretly launched a campaign to surprise her—with roses.
“Today marks the end of my wife’s chemotherapy,” Brad wrote in a heartfelt post. “Watching her face this illness with such strength has changed me forever. She still has more procedures ahead, but this is a major step forward. I want to show her how deeply she’s loved—not just by me, but by everyone who’s walked this road with us.”
Brad created a donation page where friends, family, and even strangers could buy a rose in honor of Alice. Each rose cost £10, and the response was overwhelming.
“I had to order roses from two different florists just to keep up with the number of donations,” Brad explained. “When the deliveries started pouring in, it was absolutely magical.”
More than 170 people contributed. Brad eventually had to stop the orders after 500 roses were purchased—it took 36 vases to hold them all.
But what happened next was even more moving. Instead of keeping the flowers to herself, Alice insisted on sharing them with other patients in the hospital.
“It turned into a beautiful, emotional moment,” Brad recalled. “There were tears, hugs, and a feeling of unity. We weren’t just giving flowers—we were giving hope.”
Brad also revealed he was setting up a charity fund in Alice’s name to help other women battling breast cancer. “I wanted her journey to mean something not just to us, but to others still fighting,” he said.
Alice’s story reminds us that love can bloom even in the darkest times. And sometimes, a simple act—like a bouquet of roses—can speak volumes.
We wish Alice a full recovery and a future filled with health, happiness, and more moments like this.
