Every day we may discover something new on the planet, but it rarely happens when we hear about an animal we never thought of.

In fact, there are many wonderful creatures in the world that we don’t realize exist.

Meet aardwolf, the most wonderful wolf you’ve probably never seen. The name “Aardwolf” means “earth wolf” in African and Dutch.

They sleep all day in underground burrows and only come out at night for food. They always prefer to sleep in the already abandoned holes of other animals.

Thanks to their sticky and flexible tongue, they can catch about 300,000 termites a night.

They never leave each other. The populations of this species are stable, although many are unaware of their existence.

What an amazing discovery for many of us!
