Heroic deed: this man jumped into the icy water without hesitation to save the duckling
This nice Norwegian man has been hailed as a hero after saving the duck.
Photos of 36-year-old Lars Jrun Langien rescuing a poor bird have gone viral, earning him the nickname “King of the Ducks”.
Jumping into a frozen lake might not seem like a good idea, but it looks like Lars does it all the time. Lars, a researcher at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, and one of his colleagues, 33-year-old Yngvil Sholt, are so in love with swimming that they do it even in sub-zero temperatures.
This time it happened, but in addition to swimming, Lars saved the duck’s life.
As the two boys were about to dive into the lake in their bathing suits, they spotted a duck walking on thin ice. They admired him when the unfortunate creature was imprisoned in ice.
Lars immediately saw that the duck was very ill, and without hesitation rushed to her aid.
Watching the spectacular rescue from the shore, Yngvil couldn’t believe his eyes. He even took some photos at the event.
