The girl would not have survived, but one day ordinary chocolate saved her life.
21-year-old British citizen Anna Windley ate just one sandwich every five days, weighed 29 kg at her age, looked like a skeleton covered in skin, and was afraid to eat. The girl most likely would not have survived, but one day ordinary chocolate saved her life.
Anna has always been a very busy girl. When she was still at school, she participated in many activities, played sports and was a model student.
However, she was overweight from birth, and despite this, she often heard her peers criticize her weight. Anna decided to lose weight because she was tired of being teased.
She began to severely restrict her diet, eating only one sandwich every few days and almost never eating meat, sweets, baked goods, or dairy products.
Anna often ended up in the hospital because of her “diet”, she was diagnosed with “anorexia”. Doctors began to warn the girl that if she continued in the same spirit, she might have a heart attack.
She knew about everything, but could not resist.
She explains, “I just wanted to be slimmer”.
Anna exhausted herself to the point that she was afraid of the smell of food and could not even look at him. The girl went to another room when they tried to treat her with a pie at some holiday, because she could not be near the food.
But one day everything changed, and ordinary chocolate played a role in this. Anna once really wanted sweets, but subconsciously knew that she would eat a lot of them, but still decided to try.
Later, she stepped on the scale and saw that she had not gained weight, so she began to gradually allow herself treats.
The Briton claims: “It seemed absurd to assume that just from a piece of chocolate I would immediately gain weight. However, only after it I realized that the food is not as terrible as I thought”.
Thanks to this meeting, one of Anna’s main phobias was eliminated, and she gradually returned to a normal diet.
Now the girl weighs 45 kg, leads a healthy lifestyle and recalls that period of her life with horror.
