Irina Shayk made a dramatic entrance at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, stepping onto the red carpet in one of her boldest looks yet.
The 40-year-old Russian supermodel attended the premiere of director Andrea Pallaoro’s romantic drama Echo Chamber as the annual film festival continued on Venice’s Lido.
For the occasion, Shayk reached into the fashion archives and selected a striking black Dolce & Gabbana gown from the Spring/Summer 2003 collection.
The daring design featured extreme cutouts running along both sides of her body, creating a revealing silhouette that immediately commanded attention as she posed for photographers.
The dress also came with some major runway history. More than two decades earlier, it had originally been presented on the catwalk by fellow supermodel Gisele Bündchen.
Shayk completed the look with a sparkling diamond choker necklace and a statement ring. She added opaque black stockings and matching pointed pumps with towering stiletto heels, keeping the entire ensemble dark and dramatic.
The appearance marked another high-profile moment for Shayk, who remains one of the world’s most successful and influential models.
Away from the runway and red carpet, Shayk lives in New York and is raising her daughter Lea, whom she shares with Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper.
Shayk and Cooper were together for four years before ending their relationship in 2019. Before dating the actor, she spent five years in a relationship with football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
In 2024, Shayk was also briefly romantically linked to Tom Brady, the former husband of Gisele Bündchen — the very model who originally wore Shayk’s headline-making Venice dress on the runway.
More recently, rumors have linked Shayk to basketball star Devin Booker, Kendall Jenner’s former boyfriend. Booker is 11 years younger than the supermodel, although neither has publicly confirmed the reported romance.
This year’s Venice International Film Festival is taking place from September 2 through September 12 and has already attracted a long list of famous faces.
Brooklyn Beckham has attended the festival with his wife Nicola Peltz, while Milla Jovovich’s 18-year-old daughter Ever Anderson also appeared on the red carpet alongside her mother’s former husband.
But Shayk ensured all eyes were on her for her latest appearance, combining vintage runway history with a fearless red-carpet silhouette more than 20 years after the gown first appeared on Gisele Bündchen.
