Ivanka Trump has returned to a distinctly businesslike look, stepping out in Manhattan for a meeting that has already sparked questions about what she could be working on next.
The 44-year-old was photographed leaving an office building before climbing into a waiting SUV. For the occasion, she chose a pale mint-green pantsuit, pairing a double-breasted blazer with matching trousers and strappy white heels. Her blonde hair was worn loose in soft waves.
But it wasn’t only her polished appearance attracting attention. Ivanka was carrying a tote featuring the logo of Backlot, a New York company involved in connecting film and television productions with commercial properties and potential filming locations.
The seemingly small detail immediately prompted speculation that her meeting could have involved the company. So far, however, neither Ivanka nor Backlot has announced a partnership, position or new project together.
Fashion watchers may also recognize her suit. Rather than debuting something new, Ivanka returned to an outfit she previously wore during her years in Washington. Its pastel shade and structured silhouette offer a softer version of the classic corporate power suit.
The appearance comes as Ivanka continues building a professional life outside government. After serving as a senior adviser during her father Donald Trump’s first administration, she has repeatedly indicated that she doesn’t intend to return to public service.
Instead, her attention has shifted toward private-sector ventures. She has spoken about entering a different stage of her career and wanting to pursue projects where she believes she can create an impact without returning to the demands of political life.
Her recent interests have ranged from food-related initiatives to real estate. Ivanka has also become involved again in development projects alongside her husband, Jared Kushner, including plans connected to a luxury project on Albania’s Sazan Island.
Exactly what brought her to that Manhattan office remains unclear. But between the familiar power suit and the intriguing logo on her bag, one ordinary-looking business meeting has generated plenty of curiosity about Ivanka’s next move.
