Millie the Lab and her mother, Abbey Harrison, were enjoying the sunshine in the garden when they stumbled upon something completely unexpected. The tiny creature stood next to the fallen tree. Moving closer, Abbey discovered that the puzzled animal was a newborn squirrel.

Even though it was scared, the little creature wasn’t shy when she met Millie. They talked for a few moments, but Abbey was still looking for the boy’s family.

The lady searched the area and waited for several hours, but the mother squirrel was nowhere to be seen. Abbey decided to save the orphan animal since the little squirrel and her Lab were already getting along so well.

At least not until he was ready to return to the desert. Squirrel is Abbey and her family’s nickname for him. Millie, on the other hand, was thrilled at the prospect of having a younger brother and, of course, a playmate.

Millie was chased all day long by the little “Squirrel”, which turned out to be more alive than everyone expected. Abbey even made him a beautiful bed out of cardboard boxes, but he didn’t seem interested.

The small child finally fell asleep on the yoga mat, and then the most beautiful thing happened. Millie cuddled up to her new companion while he slept and looked at him tenderly, the way a mother looks at her child!
