Cute dog decided to become a guardian angel for his little brother.
Our pets are real family members. In the United States, almost 79 million dogs are kept as pets and more than 31 million cats live in homes. The two dogs featured on the popular Instagram account Two Boxers from Brooklyn are Leia and Obie. The two dogs didn’t know how to react when their owner, Allison, gave birth to a boy. When Leia and Obi first saw their new little brother Henrik, they were puzzled. Especially since they found out that he would live with them.
Sometimes they avoided him because they didn’t know what to do. Giving your pets plenty of attention when they have a baby around is an effective way to help pets adjust to a new baby, according to the ASPCA. Take your pet with you when you walk with your child. You can feed your dog while you feed your baby. This is exactly what Allison did to make it easier for Leah and Obie to accept and love Henrik.
Obi, in particular, went above and beyond. He became almost like Henrik’s guardian angel, always wanting to be by his side. Allison stated that she noticed a real connection between Obie and Henrik. At the same time, baby Henrik watched Leah and Obie carefully and seemed to learn what they were doing.
No matter how Henrik tugged at Obie’s collar, the older brother remained kind and helped Henrik learn to stand. He was an important part of this momentous occasion that the family will always remember.
It’s amazing to see Henrik grow up next to Obi and Leia. It is clear that there is a special relationship between them.
