Mel Gibson Caught Kissing Much Younger Italian Model During Passionate Night in Rome

Mel Gibson is once again making headlines over his love life after paparazzi photographed the 70-year-old actor during an intimate evening with Italian actress and model Antonella Salvucci in Rome.

The Hollywood star was spotted spending the night with the 44-year-old television personality, and the photos quickly ignited speculation about a possible new romance. Their evening reportedly began with dinner at the seafood restaurant Micalusi Real Fish before continuing with a late-night drive through the Italian capital.

But it was what happened afterward that truly sent tabloids into overdrive.

Photographers captured Gibson and Salvucci near the famous Fontanone fountain on Gianicolo Hill, where the pair appeared affectionate and openly exchanged kisses while embracing each other under the Roman night sky.

The actor looked unusually relaxed and carefree during the outing. Gibson wore a casual white shirt, jeans and a baseball cap, while Salvucci turned heads in a tight black leather jumpsuit that immediately drew attention.

Witnesses described the atmosphere between them as playful and intensely flirtatious, and the images quickly spread across celebrity media worldwide as rumors of a passionate new relationship exploded online.

Antonella Salvucci is already a recognizable figure in Italy. The 44-year-old has built a career as an actress, TV presenter and former model, and she has previously spoken publicly about connections to other Hollywood stars.

Years ago, during an Italian television appearance, Salvucci revealed that she experienced what she described as “love at first sight” after meeting Sean Penn in Los Angeles.

Despite the steamy images from Rome, however, sources close to Gibson reportedly attempted to shut down speculation almost immediately.

According to TMZ, the actor is still officially single, and the kiss seen in the photos was allegedly nothing more than an affectionate goodbye at the end of the evening.

Gibson is currently in Italy working on “The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One,” the long-awaited continuation of his controversial 2004 film “The Passion of the Christ.”

The new photos surfaced only months after Gibson and Rosalind Ross publicly confirmed the end of their relationship. The couple had been together since 2014 and share a son named Lars. In a joint statement released late last year, they admitted the breakup was painful but stressed they remained grateful for their child and committed to co-parenting.

The relationship had reportedly ended privately some time earlier before they finally acknowledged it publicly near the end of 2025.

Mel Gibson’s relationships have fueled headlines for decades. Before Ross, the actor spent nearly 30 years married to Robyn Moore, with whom he shares seven children. Their divorce became one of Hollywood’s most expensive and heavily discussed separations due to Gibson’s enormous fortune.

Later, his turbulent relationship with Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva brought even more controversy. The pair share a daughter named Lucia, but the breakup spiraled into accusations of abuse, courtroom battles and leaked recordings that severely damaged Gibson’s public image for years.

Now, after another highly photographed romantic moment in Europe, fans are once again questioning whether the Oscar-winning actor has truly moved on — or whether Rome simply became the setting for one very passionate goodbye.
