Today’s article is about Sue who decided to test her mother-in-law. The whole thing is that Sue came from an ordinary family, while her husband Richard was raised in a well-to-do family. Sue actually prepared two presents for the mother-in-law.
She prepared a hand-painted stone and a Gucci handbag. The first present left Diane dissatisfied and she was pretending to be okay with that. Sue, in her turn, received a modest 20-dollar movie theatre gift card which left her speechless.
Regardless of Diane’s selfishness, Sue decided to present the second gift as well, a truly expensive Gucci handbag. When Diane saw the present, she expressed disbelief thinking that Sue spent her husband’s money.
The man, however, denied that claiming that Sue earned money and could buy presents without his help. This situation showed Sue that her mother-in-law didn’t trust her and wanted Richard to grow suspicious of his wife.
