Prince Harry has made his first official public appearance since returning to the United Kingdom with Meghan Markle and their children — and this time, the Duchess of Sussex was nowhere to be seen.
The 42-year-old Duke of Sussex attended the Invictus Spirit Gala Dinner & Awards at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London. Harry dressed formally for the evening in a classic black tuxedo and bow tie, completing his appearance with his military medals.
Harry appeared to be in particularly good spirits throughout the event. He mingled with guests and happily posed for photographs, including selfies with attendees who approached him during the evening.
The solo outing comes amid reports that Harry and Meghan are planning to make more public appearances following their return to Britain, including potentially attending events alongside other members of the royal family.
Harry and Meghan moved back to England with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet at the end of August after spending six years living in the United States. Their desire to be closer to King Charles III has been cited as one of the main reasons behind the major family move.
Their return has already brought several changes. Archie and Lilibet began the new school year in Britain, but their parents reportedly moved them to another school only two days later because of security concerns.
Meghan recently offered followers a glimpse inside the family’s new chapter in England, sharing intimate moments of their life together. Now Harry’s first official solo appearance since the move is putting even more attention on what comes next for the Sussexes.
