«Real zoo on the contrary»: lions look at people in cells from a very close distance

For the money, people will spend 45 minutes in a cage.

The GG Conservation Lion Sanctuary in South Africa invites everyone to see the kings of Savannah from the closest distance and in complete security.

For this, people are placed in cells of metal and plexiglass located in the center of the lion’s pride. Any of the 77 inhabitants of the park may approach the «two-legged exhibits».

The park, which occupies almost 1000 hectares in the Harrismit City area, is in private ownership of the Shannon family, which is proud of its mission to «love, protect and preserve magnificent lions under our care».

The first lions in the collection appeared in 2002; In 2015, the company was registered as a non-profit environmental organization, and for about two years the attraction «People in the Cage» has been offered to visitors.

The cost of 2000 rubles per person or 3,000 rubles for two.

This is about $ 134-197. For this money, people will spend 45 minutes in a cage. The funds raised are directed to the salvation of lions throughout the planet, which are in a difficult situation, and the park itself exists on donations.

Three people can accommodate in Cuba (the minimum age of the participant is 14 years old). Engineers constantly check the strength of the rods and glasses, and so far there was not a single accident.

However, during the photo shoot, staff will always be on duty nearby. Visitors leave enthusiastic reviews: animals sometimes come close, trying to grab uninvited guests, while the gap between the rods does not allow the predator to put his paw.

In turn, this is also useful entertainment for lions: they receive new impressions by studying unfamiliar smells and observing non-hazardous guests on their territory, which is always good for animals in captivity.
