Richard Gere celebrated turning 77 with an intimate family gathering. The acclaimed Hollywood actor spent his August 31 birthday alongside his wife, Alejandra Silva, and their young children.
Alejandra, 43, shared intimate photos from the celebration, including rare glimpses of Gere spending time with their six-year-old son James.
Alejandra marked her husband’s special day with a heartfelt message, telling him: “I wouldn’t want to share my life with anyone else. Happy birthday! We love you.”
Gere responded just as affectionately. The Pretty Woman star reshared one of the family photos and added a simple message to his wife: “I love you.”
Gere and the Spanish publicist first met in 2014, when both were still married to other people. Their relationship eventually developed into a romance, and they married in 2018.
Richard Gere and Alejandra Silva became parents together for the first time when Alexander was born in February 2019. Their household expanded again in April 2020, when they celebrated the birth of their second child together, James.
Long before meeting Alejandra, Gere was part of another famous Hollywood romance. During the 1990s, he was involved with supermodel Cindy Crawford, and the glamorous pair were widely regarded as one of the entertainment industry’s most beautiful couples.
Gere and Crawford married in 1991, but their marriage came to an end four years later.
