Shakira Steals the Spotlight in a Daring Backless Gown During Surprise Paris Fashion Week Appearance

Shakira took an unexpected break from her packed music schedule and made a glamorous appearance at Paris Fashion Week — and her dramatic all-black look quickly commanded attention.

The 49-year-old Colombian superstar attended Haider Ackermann’s Spring/Summer 2027 presentation for Tom Ford at Place Vendôme in Paris, joining an impressive lineup of international celebrities.

For the occasion, Shakira chose an elegant floor-length black sleeveless gown. The striking design featured a plunging V-neckline and an open back, while sparkling crystal embellishments on the straps added just enough glamour to the otherwise sleek ensemble.

Her appearance was particularly surprising because Shakira isn’t a regular fixture on the fashion-show circuit. Even more notably, she managed to squeeze the Paris trip into the middle of her current run of concerts in Madrid.

The singer’s Madrid residency began on September 18 and is scheduled to continue through October 11, 2026. The series consists of 12 concerts, making her brief detour to the French capital an unexpected change of scenery from her demanding performance schedule.

Shakira was far from the only famous face at the Tom Ford show. Cynthia Erivo and Tate McRae also arrived dressed entirely in black, with Shakira and McRae reportedly seated next to each other during the presentation.

Cara Delevingne brought a splash of color in a bold purple velvet suit, while Kate Moss opted for a partially unbuttoned blue blouse teamed with a black skirt. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Paris Jackson were also among the celebrity guests.

But Shakira’s rare fashion-week appearance ensured plenty of attention remained on her. Between the daring open-back silhouette, sparkling details and her unexpected arrival in Paris, the singer proved that even during a brief break from the stage, she knows exactly how to make an entrance.
