“Mother at 74?!” 👶💥 When the world told her it was too late, she said watch me. Erramatti Mangayamma broke every rule, defied science, and stunned everyone with her double miracle — twin girls at nearly 75. But it’s the photo of her daughters that really has people talking — see it in the article below 👇
In a world where many believe motherhood has an age limit, one woman proved that love, patience, and hope can defy even time itself.
Erramatti Mangayamma, a woman from a rural village in India, spent most of her life longing for a child. She married her husband, Raju, when she was just 16 and he was 20. Their marriage was filled with love, but no matter how hard they tried, children never came.
Throughout the years, they visited countless doctors and tried every possible treatment. But by age 40, Erramatti received a heartbreaking diagnosis: infertility caused by early menopause. Some even suggested Raju find another wife to have children. But he refused—his commitment to Erramatti never wavered.
Life went on, and so did their quiet hope. Then, in 2018, Erramatti heard news that gave her a reason to believe again. A woman in her village had successfully become a mother through IVF (in vitro fertilization). Inspired, Erramatti met with doctors once more.
After numerous medical evaluations, they told her something she never expected to hear: she could try IVF using a donor egg. At 74 years old, she decided to take the leap.
Months later, in 2019, a miracle happened. Erramatti gave birth to twin girls—Umu and Ramu—through a scheduled C-section at 38 weeks. Each weighed around two kilograms. Though Erramatti couldn’t breastfeed, the babies thrived on formula and round-the-clock care.
Just a year after the joyful birth, tragedy struck. Raju, now 81, died from a heart attack. It was a devastating loss, but Erramatti stayed strong. She poured all her love into raising the girls, determined to give them a happy and secure life.
Now in her late seventies, Erramatti remains committed to her daughters’ future. She’s even arranged for a trusted friend from the village to look after them if anything happens to her.
Her story continues to inspire people around the world—a reminder that hope can bloom even in the unlikeliest seasons of life.
