Sylvester Stallone has an exciting new family milestone to celebrate. The 80-year-old Rocky star’s eldest daughter, Sophia Stallone, is engaged to her boyfriend Michael Sheehan — and her famous father couldn’t hide his excitement.
Sophia revealed the happy news on Friday, shortly after celebrating her 30th birthday. Michael reportedly proposed the previous evening, turning her milestone birthday into an even more unforgettable occasion.
The bride-to-be shared a series of romantic photos showing the couple surrounded by glowing candles and white roses. Her new engagement ring was also clearly visible as the pair celebrated together.
“Forever with my best friend,” Sophia wrote alongside the intimate pictures.
It wasn’t long before Sylvester joined the celebrations. The Hollywood legend shared his own photographs with Sophia, who proudly held up her hand to display the sparkling new ring.
“We are so incredibly happy for the engagement of our daughter Sophia and Michael,” the proud father wrote.
Sophia’s younger sisters, Sistine Stallone, 28, and Scarlet Stallone, 24, were equally thrilled. Sistine revealed that she was crying with happiness and described Sophia and Michael as her “favorite people,” while Scarlet celebrated them as an especially beautiful newly engaged couple.
Sophia is the oldest of the three daughters Sylvester shares with his wife, Jennifer Flavin, 58. The couple are also parents to Sistine and Scarlet.
The actor additionally has son Seargeoh, 47, from his marriage to Sasha Czack. His eldest son, Sage Stallone, died in 2012 at the age of 36.

Over the years, Sophia has often been described as the Stallone daughter who most closely resembles her famous father. Jennifer has previously spoken about the particularly close connection between the two, revealing that Sophia and Sylvester even tend to think and move in similar ways.
Now the Stallone family has a wedding to look forward to — and judging by the emotional reactions from her father and sisters, Sophia and Michael’s engagement has given the entire family plenty to celebrate.
