They only had a few square meters—but what they did with this bathroom is truly breathtaking

“From cramped to calming—this bathroom makeover feels like Bali in a box” 🛁🌿 With smart layout tweaks and earthy tones, a tired little bathroom became a serene, spa-inspired escape. See how clever design turned tight space into total tranquility in the article below 👇

Renovating a bathroom can be a real challenge—especially when you’re working with a small space. Limited square footage, awkward plumbing, and tight layouts can make it difficult to bring your design vision to life. But if there’s one room that deserves attention, it’s the bathroom. After all, it’s one of the first places guests visit—and who doesn’t want a space that feels clean, calming, and stylish?

This is the story of how one small, outdated bathroom was completely transformed into a tranquil, Balinese-inspired oasis.

Before the makeover, the space was in poor shape. The tiles were old, the layout felt cramped, and while the toilet was still usable, everything else clearly needed a major upgrade. It was functional—but far from inviting.

The first big change was a new layout. By shifting the door to a different spot, the space instantly felt more open. This allowed for a smarter use of the area and helped make room for all the essentials.

One of the standout features in the new design is the clever combination of the sink, countertop, and washing machine. It’s a great solution for tight bathrooms, where every inch counts. This smart trio not only saves space but also makes the whole room feel organized and modern.

The bathtub, while compact at just 120×70 cm, works perfectly for families with young kids. Though it’s too small for an adult to soak in, it’s ideal for bathing a child. If it weren’t for the baby in the house, the owners mentioned they might have chosen a walk-in shower instead.

Visually, the space now has a soothing, spa-like feel. A standout detail is the wall design—subtle beige tiles blend into a natural wood-look finish, creating a warm, relaxing atmosphere. Not everyone might choose this combo, but the result feels earthy and fresh.

Even the toilet, which was originally in decent shape, was replaced to keep everything consistent and hygienic. It was also moved slightly closer to the wall—just a few centimeters, but enough to free up a little more space.

Instead of a bulky laundry basket, the homeowners opted for a fabric hamper bag that fits perfectly into the corner by the door—another simple but effective space-saving choice.

In the end, what was once a cluttered, dated bathroom is now a peaceful, thoughtfully designed space that feels like a mini retreat.
