They said she couldn’t live a normal life — now she’s a mother, artist, and inspiration to thousands

Sarah Talbi, a woman from Belgium, came into the world without arms — a condition doctors never fully explained. But what makes her story extraordinary isn’t just her physical difference — it’s how she’s chosen to live a full, vibrant life on her own terms.

From a young age, Sarah adapted to her unique situation. She quickly learned how to handle everyday tasks using only her feet — dressing, eating, brushing her hair — even painting her nails and applying makeup with surprising ease. What many would see as limitations, she turned into new ways of living.

Sarah attended a mainstream school alongside other children, where she learned to write by holding a pen between her toes. Her classmates accepted her, occasionally asking questions but never treating her as less capable. As she grew older, Sarah developed a love for languages, especially English and Spanish. Her passion led her to study at the Institute of Translation in Brussels, which she completed successfully — navigating university life with the same independence and determination she had always shown.

At home, Sarah runs her household solo. She cooks, cleans, and manages everyday chores — all with her feet. She’s also traveled extensively and explored the world with confidence. She views herself as completely capable and doesn’t let the absence of arms define what she can or cannot do.

But for Sarah, nothing compares to becoming a mother.

In 2018, she welcomed her daughter Lily into the world. Motherhood brought new challenges — as it does for anyone — but she embraced them with strength and patience. She learned how to feed, dress, bathe, and play with her daughter, all using her feet. It wasn’t always easy, but she proved to herself and the world that she could handle it all.

Today, Lily is a joyful, curious child. She doesn’t ask questions about her mom’s arms — she just knows she’s loved. On walks, she holds onto Sarah’s sleeve, and when she wants to explore, she always asks first. Together, they share a warm, nurturing bond built on trust and affection.

Recently, Sarah discovered a new passion — painting. Using her feet, she creates beautiful, nature-inspired artwork filled with emotion and color. Her pieces reflect the beauty she sees in the world and the resilience she embodies.

For now, she’s put traveling on pause to focus on raising Lily, but she’s confident she’ll return to it one day. In the meantime, Sarah shares her journey online through a video blog, where she offers a glimpse into her daily life. In one popular video, she demonstrates how she prepares pasta with tomato sauce — effortlessly and with joy.

Sarah’s life is proof that strength isn’t about physical ability — it’s about attitude, determination, and heart. And she continues to inspire people everywhere by showing what’s truly possible.
