Today, we’re sharing a remarkable makeover that proves even the most modest Soviet-era apartment can become a chic, comfortable living space. In this revamped two-bedroom Khrushchevka, past and present come together in a surprisingly fresh way.
One of the most impactful changes was the reconfiguration of the layout. The once-cramped bathroom was expanded by incorporating part of the hallway. Now fitted with a sleek shower, the space features retro-style glass blocks that add both light and personality.
Throughout the flat, the owner chose to preserve thoughtful touches from the past—small reminders of her family history.
In the entryway, a deep blue door instantly draws the eye, especially with its original lock still in place—a sentimental detail passed down from her grandfather.
