The cat was homeless and once ended up in a shelter. She was completely deaf and, judging by the absence of most of her teeth, was already quite old.

A cat with huge green eyes crawled out of the cage with a loud meow. This “meow” sounded so unusual that the girl smiled for the first time in a long time.

Brigitte took the cat home. After taking a couple of sips of water, Kali squeezed her master’s hand, indicating that it was time to pet her.

The first night, Kali didn’t sleep at all, worrying about her surroundings. But in the morning the cat curled up at the feet of the girl and fell asleep. Perhaps at that moment she realized that she was at home.
