After losing her kittens, this cat became an adoptive mother for orphaned kittens.
It seems to us that animals cannot be foster parents, but in some cases they show maternal instinct without maternal offspring. A good example is the fate of a cat named Mikey.
After a difficult pregnancy and premature birth, she lost her kittens.
Due to stress, the cat could not find peace, was in a hurry, called her babies, but could not find anywhere. The owner could not stand the suffering of her pet and began to seek help from the HoustonAnimalWelfare Organization.
Employees of this organization quickly found a woman who was feeding three orphaned kittens. In humans, a mixture was waiting for them – bottle feeding, which many animals cannot stand.
The first meeting of the orphans with the new mother went well. The cat immediately accepted the kittens as her own and began to wash them. Maternal instinct won, Mikey got milk very quickly, literally the next day.
This “co-operation” benefited both the mother cat and the orphans. What a brilliant idea!
