Vin Diesel shared an emotional red-carpet moment with Meadow Walker, the daughter of his late friend and Fast & Furious co-star Paul Walker. The pair appeared together in Los Angeles at a special screening celebrating 25 years since the first movie in the blockbuster franchise.
Diesel, 59, posed closely with 27-year-old Meadow as photographers captured their reunion. Michelle Rodriguez, another longtime member of the Fast & Furious family, was also among those attending the anniversary event.
The appearance carried special meaning because Diesel and Meadow have remained remarkably close since Paul Walker’s death in 2013. Meadow was only 15 when her father died in a car accident at the age of 40.
Diesel wasn’t simply one of Walker’s closest Hollywood colleagues. The two developed a strong friendship while working together, and Diesel is Meadow’s godfather. Following Walker’s death, he remained an important presence in her life.
Their bond was particularly visible at Meadow’s 2021 wedding to Louis Thornton-Allan. Diesel stepped into a deeply symbolic role that day, accompanying his goddaughter down the aisle. Meadow and Thornton-Allan later divorced in 2024.
Diesel has honored his late friend within his own family as well, naming his daughter Pauline after Walker. Over the years, both Diesel and Meadow have occasionally shared moments together that demonstrate how their connection continued long after the actor’s death.
Meadow has meanwhile created a career of her own, working as both a model and actress. She has appeared on major fashion runways and also established the Paul Walker Foundation in 2015 to continue honoring her father’s legacy through environmental and ocean-conservation initiatives.
More than a decade after Walker’s death, seeing Diesel and Meadow standing side by side at an event celebrating the franchise that originally brought their families together made the latest reunion especially poignant.
