Let them live! Opossums may seem undesirable because of their habit of rummaging in garbage.
These are the best little animals.
Since the Opossums resemble mice, people for a long time considered them carriers of rabies. Historically, they were killed as pests and ate. Opossums are considered pests because they are looking for heat in the cold months and can settle in basements and in attics, and can also carry the virus that kills horses.
Unfortunately for these charming rodents, they are more useful than many people think.
It turns out that the favorite snack of the Opossums is not the remnants of garbage, but ticks, which, according to estimates, eat 5,000 individuals in one season!
The Wildlife Alliance Vermont recently shared a touching photograph from the DVR, which captures the touching moment between the Opossum and the deer, when the Opossum tries to remove ticks for the deer.
This photograph illustrates symbiotic relations between two different species, coexisting and helping each other!
It destroys not only ticks, but also pests such as mice, snakes, slugs and other garden pests!
They are also not as dirty as people think, because they are cleaned like cats. And, like hamsters, they lose consciousness or die when they are blushing!
Let’s hope that these murderers will live safely and no one will drive them away.
This rodent also looks cute, but it does not fit as pets. If you encounter them, it is best to leave them alone!
Take care of the opossums !! They are delicate, useful creatures.
We could all extract a lesson from this!
