«Out of this world!» The family showed what life on a remote island looks like and blew up the network

This house attracts millions not only with its interior design, but also its wonderful geographical location. It belongs to a place called Asperö – a small island near Gothenburg, Sweden. Only four hundred people live here (according to data from 2010).

No one will deny that it is quite an atypical and unusual place to live in. Yet, there are people who consciously choose such secluded locations for permanent living. One needs to be an absolutely person to abandon infrastructure and civilization, to move away from everyone and relocate in a remote place in order to build their own quiet, unhurried life of which millions silently dream.

First, let’s take a look at the magical island where the house is located. It is impossible not to immerse into this special atmosphere. To live permanently in such a place was not in the plans of today’s couple, actually. But suddenly, they realized that they felt absolutely happy and excited during their getaways to such places and a decision was made to abandon an urban life and start everything over.

The wooden house they bought dated back to the 1930s. On one side the plot is bordered by rocky terrain, on the other side the house is surrounded by fruit trees and flower beds. And now let’s take a look inside!

To say that the family invested a lot of effort and money to turn the almost century-old building into a comfortable life for four people (including their two daughters) is nothing to say. Inside, old elements are very subtly combined with modern furniture which makes the living easier and maintains its historical charm at the same time.

One can look at any detail for hours and not get tired anyway. All those unique vases, books, paintings and little sculptures make it a special and breathtaking place. They have utilized each and every corner perfectly.
