A touching story: this boy with Down syndrome jumps into the sea without hesitation to save the girls
This boy was praised for risking his life to save a girl who was drowning at sea.
Think how wonderful the world would be if we all helped each other when we were in need. Living in such a world would be a dream.
Unfortunately, we do not live in such a magical world. As a result, the natural instinct to help is often absent. In emergency situations, many people either freeze or react too slowly to draw a correct conclusion.
However, the world is full of wonderful examples of acts of compassion.
That’s the situation with this young man. Valerio Catoya, a young Italian with Down syndrome who is not afraid to save others.
But recently he was praised for risking his life to save a drowning girl at sea. He deserves to be recognized for the hero he is…
He once visited a beach in Sabaudia, Lazio, Italy because of his religion. He enjoyed the beautiful day and the cold ocean with his father.
He had no idea that circumstances would arise that would require his skills. It was the perfect day to be at the beach as there was no wind and everything was very calm.
However, Valerio and his father were shocked to hear calls for help from two sisters, one of whom was 14 and the other only 10 years old.
Despite his condition, he jumped into the sea with his father and swam to safety. He didn’t even think about it for a second.
He immediately reached the youngest child and performed the rescue maneuver he had learned in training.
He managed to keep his head above the water as he dragged himself to the shore. According to ABC, her father did the same thing to his older sister at the same time.
