A touching story: this dog stayed at the shelter for almost 2 years and one day she suddenly smelled her native smell

While the younger pups easily found new owners, this dog continued to wait.

When Pakita was taken to a dog shelter in Argentina, staff were told she had been found on the street. The dog was scared and all alone.

Pakita was very pleased with the center’s volunteers, including Silvia Ferreira.

The dog has been at the shelter for two years.

Unfortunately, Pakita was very depressed, confused and seemed to feel very lonely.

In return, Arca Animal volunteers did their best to find Pakita a home. They decided to take a picture of her and post it on Facebook to increase the interest of potential owners.

Almost immediately, they receive a message from a woman who says it is her son’s dog. The woman said her son thought he would never see Pakita again.

The next day, Ariel came to the shelter to make sure it was really her dog. Obviously, Pakita also had to make sure that Ariel was her real owner.

When the shelter staff brought Pakita to Ariel, she felt in danger. She hid and began sniffing carefully.

Finally, she smelled a familiar scent, and you can see for yourself at what exact moment she realized who Ariel was. This moment is very exciting.
