The history of crocodile and a man is one of the most incredible friendships.
There are many true stories about the amazing friendship between humans and animals.
It all started in 1980, when Gilberto, returning home from fishing, suddenly noticed a crocodile in the river. It was clear that something was wrong with the animal.
Cautiously approaching the water, Gilberto saw that the crocodile was wounded, that someone’s bullet was stuck in his eye.
Chito, as the relatives called the man, decided to take the wounded crocodile home and make good money on the skin of the beast after his death.
With the help of several neighbors, the animal was brought to the barn.
Chito went into the barn several times a day and found the crocodile very weak, but alive.
A few days later, the man’s heart trembled with pity, and every day he fed the crocodile. He decided to name his unusual friend Pocho.
When the local authorities found out about the dangerous animal in Chito’s barn, which is prohibited by law, he had to hide the crocodile in secluded places along the river.
The villagers did not understand him, considered him abnormal, but he was already so attached to the crocodile that he could not leave him.
So, almost three years later, Chito released the animal into the river.
But what was his surprise when the next morning the crocodile was lying near the Chito’s balcony. And they never parted again.
In 2011, Pocho died of old age at the age of 55. Chito hardly lost his faithful friend.
