The young volunteer takes the time to sit next to his charges and read their stories. Her audience still seems to be glued to her lips, taking in every soft, soothing word.
This activity really gives dogs and cats a moment of peace. Summer cuddling with their furry friends is their weekly breath of fresh air.
The narrator’s love and passion for animals comes from her mother, Kylie Rankin. The 30-year-old woman has been volunteering since she was a teenager. Her older sister Amy Jane, aged 14, also helps the community. This is a real family business.
