The film centers on conspiracy theorists who kidnap a tech executive they believe to be an alien. Silverstone plays Sandy, the mother of one of the kidnappers, appearing in haunting black-and-white flashbacks that add emotional weight to the story.
Speaking about working with Lanthimos, Silverstone has described the experience as a leap of faith—one she was eager to take. She’s praised the director’s singular vision and the freedom he gives actors to fully surrender to his strange, meticulously crafted worlds.
