23-year-old Carys Zeta Douglas is preparing for her first professional theater role after landing a major part in a new production of Anton Chekhov’s famous play The Seagull.
The upcoming adaptation, produced by Brooklyn-based company Solid Flesh, revealed that Carys will take on the role of Nina during the limited New York run scheduled from June 20 through June 27 at St. Lydia’s Theater.

Sources close to the family say both Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas are incredibly excited and supportive as their daughter starts building her own career in entertainment.

After completing her studies at Brown University in 2025, Carys began exploring opportunities in both cinema and stage acting following her focus on film and international relations during college.

She recently appeared in the short film Fck That Guy alongside Victoria Pedretti, best known for her role in the TV series You.

After more than two decades together, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas remain one of Hollywood’s most recognizable couples, and now many fans are wondering whether their daughter could become the family’s next breakout star.
