The dog in question here only finds sleep in a cardboard box.
A long wandering life leaves its mark on the dog. The one in question here only finds sleep in a cardboard box, a relic of his past lived on the streets. However, the association accepted him and helped him find a new family.
Surviving on the street for a dog is far from easy. Getting out is just as difficult, especially for a pit bull. Dogs of this breed actually suffer from their reputation, which means that few families want to adopt them.
Things were looking pretty bad for the captain, an itinerant pit bull living in Detroit, Michigan. Luckily, a local association found him and decided to help him, according to Animal Channel.
He couldn’t sleep anywhere but in a box.
Cristina Rinaldi and her team at Detroit Dog Rescue actually took a dog in a black and white dress to their sanctuary. The former shared her story on the Facebook page of the organization of which she is an executive director. She also posted a photo of the dog in which she lies in a cardboard box.
Looking at the picture, you might think that it was taken during the rescue of the captain, but this is not so; the quadruped was photographed in this pose at the shelter. Cristina Rinaldi explains that the captain can only sleep in a box. Volunteers provided him with a comfortable bed, but he refused to settle into it.
The Detroit Dog Rescue Team knows absolutely nothing about their past. She was just able to estimate her age at 2 years old. She gave him all the care and love he needed, teaching him the basics of family life.
Then the dog was handed over to the teachers of the specialized organization K9 Turbo Training, who consolidated his education and helped him overcome his fears.
An apprenticeship that lasted a year, after which the captain joined a foster family. A year later, one day, a stray dog found a loving home forever.
